Your privacy matters. This is what Kira, operated by Gabriel Guadarrama, doing business as DoubleG Labs ("we", "us"), collects and why. By using Kira you agree to this Policy.
Photos of labels and product fronts you take, to analyze them and to help you recognize your saved foods.
Your scan results (score, nutrition breakdown, favorites).
Your email address and account identifier when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Photos are sent securely to our AI provider (OpenAI) only to read the label; they are not used to train models. Your scans and photos are stored in your private Firebase (Google Cloud) space so they're available across your devices and aren't lost.
Data is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, in your Firebase account. Only you, with your session, can access it.
You can delete your account and all your data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your information from our servers.
We use OpenAI (image analysis), Firebase/Google (accounts and storage), and RevenueCat/Apple (subscriptions). Each processes data under its own policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Kira is not directed to children under 13.
